Littoral States’ Hydrographic Officers Attend the ENC Production Software Training in Melaka, Malaysia
As part of its capacity building activity, the MEH Demonstration Project held a hands-on training course on the use of the ENC Production Tools software for 10 Hydrographers from Indonesia and Malaysia. The training course was held in Tanjung Kling, Melaka, Malaysia from 8 to 12 November 2010.
The ENC Production Tools software used in the training was procured from Seven Cs in Germany. As Singapore is already using the software, the training and distribution of the procured software to Indonesia and Malaysia will enable the two littoral States to produce ENCs in the same platform as Singapore. In addition and for the purpose of the Project, the same software would be used in the production of the overlay for the E-MIO activity and other related activities as well as in the production of ENC for the MEH Data Centre.
